The first step in filtering email messages will be to create a local folder on your computer.
From your menu bar, choose File > New > Folder.

Type "Spam" as the name for the folder. |

Select "Local Folders" in the folder list. |

Click the "OK" button. |

Now you'll define the filter for categorizing spam.
From your menu bar, choose Tools > Message Filters.

Click the "New" button. |

In the "Filter name" field, type "Spam".

Select "Subject" from the first pop-up menu. |

Select "contains" from the second pop-up menu. |

Type "[SPAM]" into the blank field. |

Under "Perform this action", select "Move to folder" from the pop-up menu. |

Select "Spam on Local Folders" from the folder pop-up menu. |

Now you can see the completed spam filter rule you've created. Click the "OK" button, and then "OK" in the filter window to finish. |
