The first step in filtering email messages will be to create a local folder on your computer.
From your menu bar, choose File > New > Folder.

Type "Spam" as the name for the folder.

Now you'll define the rule for categorizing spam.
From your menu bar, choose Tools > Rules.

Type "Filter Spam" for the name of the rule. |

Select "Subject" from the first popup menu and "Contains" in the adjacent popup menu. |

Type "[SPAM]" in the text field. |

Select "Change status" from the next popup menu and select "Junk mail" in the adjacent popup menu. |

Select "Move message" from the next popup menu. |

Select "Select..." from the next popup menu, choose the "Spam" folder, and click OK.

Click OK to leave the "Edit Rule" window. |

Now you can see the completed spam filter rule you've created. Close the window to finish.
